SimpleVidz provides software for recording customer testimonial video and collecting signed media releases. This policy applies to simplevidz.com, our web dashboard, and the SimpleVidz iOS app.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optional company name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from that provider (such as your name and email).

Content you upload or capture. This includes testimonial video, audio, thumbnails, titles, and metadata; signed media release forms; signature images; and generated PDFs. If you use team features, we also store which team member recorded each clip.

Signer and testimonial subject data. When your business uses SimpleVidz to collect releases, signers may provide their name, contact details, and signature. You are responsible for telling signers how their data will be used and for having a lawful basis to collect it.

Billing information. Subscriptions purchased on the web are processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status, plan details, and limited billing metadata from Stripe — not your full card number. Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are handled by Apple; we receive purchase and entitlement status from Apple, not your payment card details.

Usage and technical data. We collect information needed to operate the service, such as IP address, browser or device type, app version, pages viewed, video view counts, error logs, and authentication tokens stored locally in your browser or device to keep you signed in.

We use the information above to:

• Provide, secure, and improve the SimpleVidz service
• Host, transcode, stream, and publish your videos
• Store and display signed media releases linked to your clips
• Authenticate you across the web app and iOS app
• Process subscriptions and send service-related communications
• Respond to support requests and enforce our terms
• Comply with legal obligations and protect against abuse

We do not sell your personal information.

We use trusted third parties to run SimpleVidz. Depending on how you use the product, data may be processed by:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, cloud storage, server functions, and website hosting
• Mux — video upload, encoding, playback, and analytics
• Stripe — web subscription billing
• Apple — App Store subscriptions and Sign in with Apple
• Google — Sign in with Google

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and protect the service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work if you disable them.

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records for legal, security, billing, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email hello@simplevidz.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

If you are a signer whose data was collected by a SimpleVidz customer, contact that business first. We can help the business respond when appropriate.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport, access controls, and cloud infrastructure provided by established vendors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

SimpleVidz is intended for businesses and adults. The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian may sign a release on behalf of a minor through a customer's workflow; that data is handled on the customer's behalf.

SimpleVidz is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of SimpleVidz after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
